Shooting in the beautiful but remote mountain town of Kinihira , a scene when General Dallaire revisits a paradise made open grave . We combined living people in make-up with the simulations fabricated in Toronto . The living extras in this scene are actually restaurant staff from our hotel ( and Paul from Security) who were eager to be involved.
Make-up for the bodies started at 4 am and by 7am we had the three key performers in vehicles for the winding roads to set. Once in place , blinds are erected on stands to shade the actors from the serious ever present sun. For images of the landscapes and people of this stunning loaction , click here |
